“… Noi siamo come il mare, che riceve acqua da tutte le parti,
e la torna a distribuire a tutti i fiumi.” (Alessandro Manzoni)

  • We are brothers, we live in fraternity, we pray individually and in common, we share meals and time together, helping each other to grow, like in a family. Our communities are places of joy and hospitality.
  • Jesus is our guide to lead a simple and humble life among all the people. La vita di Cristo, la sacra Scrittura, san Francesco e i suoi scritti costituiscono la nostra ispirazione.
  • Our occupations are: prayer and contemplation, pastoral work, social services, ministries of assistance, missionary activities, publications and information.

Three centuries after the birth of San Francesco, the Capuchins were born in the sixteenth century to return to the original simplicity. Recognizable on the street thanks to the beard and the characteristic brown tunic qith a pointed hood reaching to the waist attached to it, girdled by the traditional woolen cord with three knots the Capuchins are concretely close to the poorest and the most needy. Also called “brothers of the people” they are men of God, men of prayer; men of listening and dialogue with everyone and for everyone. They have always been famous for preaching. The Capuchins pray both individually and in common, they share meals and time together, they help each other to grow, like in a family. Their fraternities are places of joy and hospitality.
